SUPPORT OUR REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES!
BECOME A PRECINCT CAPTAIN

As Precinct Captain you have the extremely important role of representing the Republican voters in your Precinct. Known as a “Grassroots” volunteer, you are the first and, in many ways, the most important link in the chain of our representative form of government. Your overall objective is to help elect qualified Republican candidates for a wide variety of positions, ranging from United States Congress, State Senate, State Assembly, Clark County Judges, Clark County Commissioners, School Board, and others.

To learn more about the role of a Precinct Captain, check out: “What Does A Precinct Captain Do?” Serving as Precinct Captain benefits your constituents (the registered Republican voters in your precinct), the Republican candidates and elected officials, the Clark County Republican Party, and yourself. See “Why Serve As A Precinct Captain.”

The Precincts are divided into districts corresponding to the State Assembly Districts. Look up the names of the current Precinct District Managers for the 29 Assembly Districts in Clark County: Current Precinct District Managers. If a position is vacant, please apply to be a Precinct Captain below, and indicate your willingness to move up to one of the District positions.

THE CLARK COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

If you want to serve as a Precinct Captain, APPLY HERE NOW. Hundreds of positions are still available. Once appointed, you will help the party, with whatever time and effort you are willing to commit, in:

  • Communication - by precinct walking, phone calling, “dear neighbor letters” etc.
  • Education - by informing voters on candidates, timetables, activities, processes
  • Registration - by assisting in voter registration drives
  • Motivation - by increasing voter involvement in party activities, and getting out the vote
  • Appreciation - by thanking all volunteers through picnics, social events, etc.

For more detailed information on the roles and responsibilities of a Precinct Captain, please see: Precinct Captain’s 2008 Manual. Also, feel free to contact the Precinct Organization Administrator, Richard F. Scotti, as grassroots@gop.org.

The Clark County Election Department has a very easy to use link to discover your Precinct number, polling place, and elected officials: www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/election/English/Pages/lookup.aspx#elected_officials

If you want to help the Party in ways other than serving as a Precinct Captain, your help is greatly appreciated. Learn more about Other Volunteer Opportunities Here.
